The Eaton Bowling Club invites you to enter a team for the above Men’s event to be held on Sunday 5th May 2019 Starting Time: 9:30 am Dress: Neat Casual Cost is $180 per team ($30 per player). Lunch and afternoon tea are included in the playing fee.
This event requires teams of six and there will be one game of Fours (14 ends) & one game of Pairs (12 ends 2x2x2x2) before lunch and two games of Fours & two games of Pairs after lunch. Pairs will be played in order of nomination i.e. 1&2 play first, 3&4 second, 5&6 last.

Mens Bowling Update

The Men’s Championship 4’s is scheduled for October 7th & 14th, the event for season 2018/19 will be a drawn event as per the attached Guidelines. The nomination sheet for this event will be in the Clubhouse from tomorrow.

 

The Southwest League opening day will be held at Eaton Bowling Club on September 30th with a 10.30 am start and BYO lunch. I am looking for 4 Men to represent our club at this event, please let me know if you can participate, either by email, phone or in person at the club.

 

The Club Mixed opening day is scheduled for September 16th

 

The Club Championship Mixed Pairs is scheduled for October 21st and 28th.

 

Midweek Pennants commences on October 16th.

 

Saturday Pennants Commences on October 27th.

As per the results of the recent survey:

The Men’s Championship fours will be a drawn Knock Out event for season 2018/19. 

The Match Committee will allocate the single nominations into the following categories 1. Skipper 2. Third 3. Second 4. Lead. 

The Match Committee will then draw the teams within the four categories. 

Once the teams are selected, all teams are able to move players into any playing positions within that team. 

There will be a Plate event played to ensure all players get 2 games as a minimum.

Notice of Motion AGM 23 April 2018

The following motions will be proposed as SPECIAL RESOLUTIONS.

The Government of Western Australia, Department of Commerce, (Consumer Protection), have previously advised that ALL incorporated associations in WA must review and update their rules (or constitution) to ensure their document complies with the Associations Incorporations Act 2015.

At our 2017 AGM, held on 24th April 2017, after what we believed to be a thorough review of the Club’s constitution, the Committee submitted several changes to the rules so as to comply with the Act. These changes were subsequently passed at that meeting. And submitted to the Department.

However, the Department have since advised us, in January this year, that further amendments would be necessary to ensure compliance.

Management Committee have therefore since considered and reviewed the recommendations of the Department and made several new changes which we trust, will ensure that this Club’s Constitution is fully compliant into the future. These changes now need to be ratified by Members and so, are now submitted for Member’s approval at the coming AGM.

A list of these alterations to the rules (constitution), to be proposed as special resolutions, is posted on notice board in club house.

Also on the notice board, (to better explain the reason for the proposed amendments,) you will find a copy of the letter received from the Department of Commerce (Consumer Affairs)

Hopefully, this will give all Members a proper picture of what these changes are for.

We ask Members to read and make themselves familiar with these changes, as eligible Members will be asked to vote on them at the coming AGM.

We have numbered the 10 points that the Department have raised, indicating where our constitution does not comply with the act in their letter. We have also numbered the motions (or special resolutions) so that Members can compare the Departments requests and the corresponding amendments to be made.

All special resolutions show the current rules, and then the proposed amendment. Also, we have highlighted the changed wording in BLUE PRINT.

PLEASE CHECK THE NOTICE BOARD AND READ THE PROPOSED NOTICE OF MOTION AND THE REASONS FOR THE CHANGES.
